Utsavam-IKKF has been conducted in Dubai since 2007, and it brings to the fore some of the most cherished Indian classical theatre forms. IKKF, into its 15th successive year now, is a rare authentic blend of classical art forms from the southern Indian state of Kerala. It is the most extensive ensemble of these art forms outside the Indian mainland.

The Consulate General of India in Dubai has been supporting this event since its inception. 2023 edition of Utsavam (Festival), as IKKF is commonly called, would feature two theatre forms – Koodiyaattam and Kathakali, in addition to Mohiniyattam (another Indian classical dance form) and Thaayampaka (a percussion art with an emphasis on improvisation). What sets IKKF apart is that these classical art forms are presented with the utmost authenticity.
